Why Private School?
Choosing a school for our children can be a tough decision as there are many options to consider such as location. However, the biggest decision to make is whether to send them to a public school or a private school. They both have advantages but private schools do have some advantages over public schools.
Private schools are not funded by the government, so they receive funding from the parents or those willing to pay for the child's education. Private school fees will be charged on an annual basis or on a term by term basis depending on the rules and regulations at the selected school.
Private schools can select the students they wish to have at their schools and this is normally done by an entrance exam. This will test different subjects such as English, non verbal reasoning tests and maths. Those with the highest scores will obtain a place at the school. In some private schools an interview will be conduced to talk to the students and to see whether they would benefit from a good education with them. If they stand out from other students then they will obtain a place too.
There are private schools which offer students an education from all age ranges, from nursery schools to secondary school education.
Private schools have a reputation to offer a good education and this could be for a number of reasons. The schools have smaller classes which mean that students can have more contact with their teachers. The students can ask more questions and receive more help as there are fewer students. Teachers can get to know their students in which they will learn their individual strengths and weaknesses and will know how to improve upon them in the future.
There are also facilities offered to students such as a gym, tennis courts or even swimming pools and can be ensured of study areas and classrooms equipped with all the essentials to help the students receive a good education.
Some private schools will provide students with food for lunch instead of bringing lunch in from home. They can guarantee a meal which is good for their hunger and their concentration!
Private schools operate in exactly the same way a public school would, for example following the same curriculum but differ in holiday dates and paying for the education.
The question is, do you still need more reasons to not send your children to a private school?
