Running a School
Running a school could be a great opportunity but it could also be very difficult. Providing an education for students is great achievement but the actual process could potentially be really overwhelming.
For those wanting to run a school, the common goal would be to be able to run one of the most top rated private schools in the country. However, to do this successfully the following rules and regulations must be abided too.
A school must be a safe and secure environment for students to work in. Students must feel that they can walk around freely when they are not studying in the classrooms. More importantly, parents must know that they do not have to worry whilst their children are at school. For this to happen, there must be a sign in book and identification to determine who is walking around the school and why they are there. Grounds must be secure for students to walk around safely.
A school must have a friendly atmosphere including the grounds and the teachers. Students would want to feel comfortable in their school and be able to work with approachable teachers. Whilst students should feel comfortable they should also know the importance of working hard in all their classes. This should be pointed out when students enrol at the school. The head teacher should clarify this, so students will work hard and achieve good grades. It would also be important to tell the students that work will be rewarded and if the opposite happens then a punishment may occur.
Students must also learn the importance of group and team work whilst also developing their independence. This can be done by doing group projects or by doing sports days to maintain friendships through different school years and working as a closer group.
Schools must provide facilities for students to receive a well rounded education. For example, students must learn in classrooms with sufficient material i.e. books, text books, projector etc. There must also be rooms where students can go and socialise or maybe catch up with work such as a common room. There must also be sports facilities such as a gym or running field so students can get regular exercise and it's also a chance to unwind from academic work. There must also be a library and other learning resources to students can get more information about their work.
There are many things which a school would need to be able to operate smoothly but those listed below are very important. If a school has this and other aspects then students will develop their knowledge and skills on a daily basis and will leave the school with a successful education.
